Dear Americans,

I don't want to put too much pressure on you, but the fate of your country (and the world) will be decided by this election.

But not really.

Once the lusty sheen of your fresh-out-of-the-box president wears off in a couple of months, your life will likely proceed much as it has before.

This isn't a pessimistic viewpoint. It takes a long time for positive change to take effect. Apparently, it doesn't take as long to destroy things.

It's all pretty exciting anyways.
